Orthofeet Inc. guarantees its footwear products to be free of material and craftsmanship flaws during normal usage for a period of 6 months. The company will offer a free replacement for any flawed product under this warranty, but only one replacement per order is permitted. This warranty does not cover any footwear that has been altered or fixed by someone unauthorized by Orthofeet.

Orthofeet, Inc. was founded in 1984 by Ron and Michael Bar. Ron, who holds a doctorate in biomedical engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, and Michael, who has a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the same institute, established the company after a personal experience inspired Ron. During his service as a reserve soldier in the Yom Kippur war of 1973, Ron lost his leg when his tank was hit by a missile. This tragedy prompted Ron to seek a better solution for himself and others with mobility issues. He saw that the traditional method of taking casts of patients' feet was cumbersome and often inaccurate. So, with his biomedical engineering background, he set out to create insoles, foot orthotics, and footwear that were more efficient. Michael, as a mechanical engineer, joined forces with Ron and together, they developed a patented orthotic made from expandable polyurethane foam that molds directly to the shape of the foot, activated by water. This allowed for a more accurate and dynamic shaping to the contours of the foot, increasing fit and comfort.
